(Albany, NY) – A comprehensive new cremation certification course offered by the New York State Association of Cemeteries (NYSAC) in partnership with the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) will soon be available to industry professionals statewide.
Following a rigorous review, the New York State Division of Cemeteries approved the NYSAC/CANA application pursuant to 19 NYCRR § 204.3. New York State law now requires crematory operators to be certified.
NYSAC Executive Director Daniel Hallenbeck said, “NYSAC and CANA look forward to a successful partnership and to providing the most comprehensive cremation certification course available in New York State.”
The schedule for two-day cremation certification courses will be announced at a later date.
